Remember when I shared we made fantastic transportation choices? Well, after leaving Times Square, we encountered another NYC Tour Bus person. They were scattered around the highly populated areas during our walks, but we never stopped to listen or really pick up the information. Well, we were on a busy corner waiting for the traffic light to change and this really nice tour bus man explained the map to us…and we were sold! Seriously, best transportation decision to see NYC from a little higher up…and we paid the child’s price for 72 hours of bus tours, a 1 hour Central Park bike rental, and a cruise to the Statue of Liberty.
I mean doesn’t this picture scream New York City?!
The real Magnolia Bakery 🙂
This may be the only picture I have without a NYC Yellow Taxi.
We were unable to score tickets to see Jimmy Fallon live, but we did see the studio.
…
…
We rode the bus to Central Park…
And enjoyed our Magnolia Bakery treats atop a massive rock overlooking the water.
to this view…
I think one of my favorite Central Park Moments occurred via text message. I sent my Mom this picture:
and this is how our chat went down:
Was she praying to God that we’d be ok? Did she mean “oh good” as in “Yay for Central Park” … we’ll never know! 🙂
We walked around and happened to exit the park to a few art displays…so this happened:
Made a purchase for my travel wall…and held a different picture since mine are in the bag.
As we walked to the corner of the street we saw the Apple & Cartier buildings.
AND THE PLAZA HOTEL. If only it was June. And we had a wedding to attend. (Claire, I totally had Bride Wars flashbacks from our movie theater photo shoot!)
I liked this building.
We returned to the Central Park bus stop…
and continued the tour before walking back to the hotel to get ready for BROADWAY! Which clearly will be tomorrows post.
I’m really enjoying these NY posts. It looks like you had so much fun. Your poor mom…
